Cat5e and Cat6 structured cabling

cable

You should ensure that the components in your network measure up to the industry standards - Cat5e or Cat6.

Cat5e and Cat6, also known as Category 5e and Category 6, are industry-wide standards defined by the Electronic Industries Association and Telecommunications Industry Association (EIA/TIA).

Cat5e installations operate at 100 MHz, while CAT6 installations support up to 250 MHz over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling.

However, standards are not everything. They are in place to ensure generic compliancy but in reality that is only the start. As with everything in life there are varying levels of quality in all things and there are many factors that play a part in the quality of connections between network devices.

From our long-standing experience, we know these factors intimately. Network designs and installations from q2 are pure quality, which is reflected in
our lengthy warranties.
